I am a psychiatric social worker in NYC. I bought land in Nova Scotia when I was 19 and built a log cabin there. It is still there and return as often as I can. (I put a stone from Thoreau's cabin site at Walden into my foundation) I have been an actor, writer and poet, and musician. I am still playing music professionally. I started out in rock (guitar) and then into swing and western swing. I started studying bluegrass banjo with Tony Trischka when I was 38 and have since recorded and toured with a well known bluegrass band. I quit after 6 years because I was spending too much time away from my family. I am still playing with a more local band and that suits me fine.
I first discovered the English Romantics in college around the time I was acquiring land to build my cabin. I loved them all but Shelley spoke to me like no other and I must admit that I am still studying him after all these years. I happened across the Shelley Circle site and would love to be a part of that.
